Acer platanoides, commonly known as the Norway Maple, is a deciduous tree valued for its changing foliage. It typically grows to heights of 20-30 meters with a broad, rounded crown. The leaves are palmate with five lobes, rust coloured in spring, green in summer, turning to rust again in the autumn. The Norway Maple is often planted as a specimen tree or in mixed borders for its colorful foliage. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade.

- Choose a location with moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade.
- Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep.
- Loosen the soil in the planting area.
- Carefully remove the tree from its container or burlap wrap, taking care not to damage the roots.
- Place the tree in the center of the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil.
