Tilia cordata, commonly known as Small-leaved Lime, Little-leaf Linden, or Small-leaved Linden, is a deciduous tree native to Europe and western Asia. It typically grows to heights of 20-30 meters with a dense, rounded crown. The leaves are heart-shaped, dark green above and paler beneath, turning
yellow in the fall. In summer, clusters of fragrant yellowish-white flowers appear, attracting pollinators. Small-leaved Lime is often planted for its ornamental value, shade, and tolerance of urban conditions. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade.

Planting
Select a location with enough space for the tree to reach its mature size. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Loosen the soil around the planting area and carefully remove the tree from its container or burlap wrap, ensuring not to disturb the roots excessively. Position the tree in the center of the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Backfill the hole with soil and water thoroughly. Apply a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Care
Regular watering during the establishment period is essential. Pruning may be necessary to maintain shape and remove dead or damaged branches.
